Does any of this sound familiar? …
Is it painful to look in the mirror because you are afraid of what you will see? Are there parts of your body you hate and avoid looking at or thinking about? Or do you turn down the invitation to go to the beach or the pool because you can’t bring yourself to go into the dressing room to try on a swim suit? Have you given up living up to the expectations that society has for you or that you have for yourself because it is just too painful to try again and again? Does excess weight prevent you from doing what you want?
So what do you do? The only answer you have been given is dieting. So,you diet and deprive yourself of your comfort foods, only to beat yourself up for giving in to the hunger and the cravings and eating it anyway. You feel out of control and imprisoned by these same old patterns.
It doesn’t have to be this way. You can break free of the old patterns that keep you chained down and free your mind to work for you instead of against you.
If you are ready to break free of the heavy shackles that drag you down, say “Hello to Slim and Sassy!”,this program was designed just for you.

The philosophy behind Dr. Cindy’s Slim and Sassy Program is that weight loss is a side effect of a sustainable healthy lifestyle. And that YOUR healthy lifestyle has to work for you, feel normal and natural and may be different from another person’s healthy lifestyle, but there are some of the same road markers along the path that can help guide you as you find more and more freedom to be yourself.
We all have reasons why we want to get rid of the excess weight (anything and everything from health to vanity) and we all have reasons why the weight stays on (anything and everything from emotional eating to stress or exhaustion). I can relate because I have seen it all and experienced most of it myself. The good news is that there are solutions for each of us,solutions for you. Solutions that work for you. Finding the right solutions for you to achieve your personal health goals is what this program is about.
Why am I so passionate about this?
Breaking free of the overweight prison is a journey that I have made and I know you can too. I have learned how to have my cake and eat it too. It has been a process,a journey, and I want to share it with you so you can be empowered to take control over your journey.
I began to struggle with my weight as a teenager. Because my body shape doesn’t fit the image of what I thought I was supposed to look like. I was very self critical, hated my fat legs. When I felt badly about myself,or anything really,I searched out comfort in food. So after school I was home alone, feeling unloved and in self loathing, rummaging through the cabinets for food, anything and everything. I hated myself so much for over-eating that I would try to gag myself into throw up. When that work I found that if I put hot pepper sauce on my food then I would eat less food. The self hatred and self punishment of yo-yo dieting continued through college.
One day my roommate in college asked me if I wanted to go outside and sunbath. I told her I was too fat to be seen in a swim suit. She cautioned me to not let Gina hear. “Why?” I said. Then she told me of Gina’s struggle with anorexia, that she had become so thin that she was hospitalized and nearly died. I was shocked and horrified both for my dear friend Gina but also for myself. Because I had been so envious of Gina that I was emulating her trying to do what she did so I would be as thin as she was. I realized that in trying to be like Gina,in trying to fit into expectations of a body that would never be mine,I was on the path of destruction. That I was trying so hard to stuff my emotions and fit into a model figure that I was killing myself. The larger part of me loved life. I decided to stop dieting. I vowed to learn to everything I needed to be healthy.
As a premed student in college,I learned that food was meant for nutritional purposes, not emotional purposes.
In graduate school I was studying neuroscience, how the brain learns. And I started coming to a series of realizations. I realized I was using food like and addict uses drugs. I also began to learn the impact of the stress response on learning. Stress can serve you or destroy you.
When all of this became clear to me,I started to evaluate my own life and what I was doing. Through my neuroscience training, nutritional courses, hypnotherapy training, personal growth workshops and coaching,I put all of the pieces together and decided to erase the default programming of my mind and retrain my mind to achieve my dreams. I fell in love with myself and my life and I learned how to have a healthy lifestyle that supported all of my goals. The weight came off naturally.
For the last 15 years,I have using the most cutting edge tools in neuro-psychology to support my clients to erase their default mindset and rewire the brains for their freedom and success. You can have that too.

“When I came to Dr. Cindy’s Slim and Sassy program,I had just finished a very expensive out-patient treatment program for eating disorders. I had been struggling for 30 year and although I was making progress and learned a lot,I still wasn’t maintaining a healthy lifestyle. And,if someone would suggest exercise I would say ‘Don’t even talk to me about that!’
During the Hello Slim and Sassy Program I felt so connected to the other women that I felt very safe to express myself and be myself. To see that so many other normal women had similar challenges with their weight, their relationship to food, and their body image was freeing. Everything we learned in the workshop either reinforced or added to the things I had learned previously. And because of the work we did,I felt more empowered to change.
After the Hello Slim and Sassy weekend,I began working-out to a cheer-leading video which is so much fun I can’t wait to get home from work and do it. I do it almost every day now and if I had time would do it twice a day!
I don’t have the desire to binge and find myself eating more slowly and mindfully. Now,I can easily eat a small portion of treat and feel satisfied. It is like my mind has switched onto the right track. I am amazed that I have changed so much in such a short period of time. ”
